Who We Are

Living Branches is a charismatic, Bible believing fellowship that welcomes all to join in worship on Sunday Mornings at 10:30 AM.

We belong to an organization called The Fellowship of Christian Assemblies. which is a family of believers who are committed to each other by their relationship to God, to each other, and to the community outside the Church.

What We Believe

We at Living Branches Community Fellowship desire to disciple people to become vital members of God's family through worship, prayer and Biblical teaching.  We believe that worship is an intensely intimate and personal experience which may be stimulated by music and song.  In worship we touch the Father's heart and experience His love.  Worship combined with inspired Biblical teaching, leads to maturity of the church - "Preparing God's People for the works of service."  Our highest calling is to go into all the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

What We Believe:

We Believe in the Bible as the inspired Word of God; that it is without error in the original manuscripts and is therefore the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

We Believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We Believe in Jesus Christ the one and only begotten Son.

We Believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by God the Father through the Holy Spirit in the virgin Mary’s womb.

We Believe that man was created good and upright, but by voluntary transgression he fell.  His only hope of redemption is through the substitutionary and reconciling death of Jesus Christ and the shedding of his blood.

We Believe that Jesus was resurrected (raised from death to life), that he bodily ascended to heaven, was enthroned as Lord of all and will personally return for his body which is the church.

We Believe in salvation for sinners, by grace, through faith- that those who believe in Jesus Christ and fully trust Him to be their Saviour are redeemed.  That is, by accepting Christ’s free gift, believers in Him have their death penalty paid and are justified (cleared of all charges) by God’s gracious decree, thereby becoming members of his Church.

We Believe that salvation is more than just escaping hell and going to heaven.  We believe that salvation means that our relationship with God, which was lost because of our sin, is restored and can be experienced here and now on earth and will continue in perfection in heaven for eternity.

We Believe in the church which is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of Jesus’ great commission.  Every person who is born of the spirit is an integral part of the church as a member of the body of believers.  There is a spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

We Believe that the church has been entrusted with and commanded to observe two ordinances:

  • Water Baptism: Following faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the new convert is commanded by the word of God to be baptized in water by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Water baptism is an act of obedience, an expression of our faith in Christ, our identification with him, and our covenant relationship with God.
  • The Lord’s Supper (communion) for believers, by which we remember the Lord Jesus’ death, burial, resurrection and future return, and by which we acknowledge our communion or unity in the body of Christ – that although we are many, we are one body in Christian fellowship.

We Believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit which includes: the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as an experience distinct form salvation; His indwelling, by which the Christian is enabled to live a godly life; His supernatural gifting and empowering of the Church for its work, life and worship.

We Believe in the physical return of Jesus Christ and in the resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved; those who are saved to eternal life, and those who are unsaved to eternal death.

We Believe in the institute of Marriage.  Marriage is a living example of the relationship between Christ and the Church.  Marriage is a public commitment between on man and one woman.
